PAULSON A-S4-F Smoke/White Sun Shield Visor for Hardhats

The PAULSON A-S5-F Sun Shield Visor in Smoke/White is intended to assist in the prevention of neck and nose cancer risks for outdoor workers exposed to sunlight. These sun shields extend the helmet's shade area to protect the neck and nose from sun exposure. The transparent front of the visor acts as a UV protective sun glare filter, providing both visibility and protection from harmful UV rays.

This sun shield consists of three parts that can be attached to the helmet using clamps for a secure fit. Precise cutouts ensure a perfect fit. The A-S4-F Sun Visors are designed specifically for Fibre-Metal Full Brim Style Hardhats. Other options available are the A-S5-M for MSA V-Gard Cap Style Hardhats, A-S4-M for MSA V-Gard Full Brim Style Hardhats, A-S4-B for ERB Omega or Bullard Full Brim Style Hardhats, and A-S5-F for Fibre-Metal Cap Style Hardhats. Please note that the hardhats are sold separately, and the sun shields are sold individually.

Features of the sun shields include ABS material on the sides, polycarbonate (Lexan) on the front, a white side color, and a transparent neutral gray (smoke) front color. The front filter acts as a UV protective sun glare filter. The sun shields meet standards such as DIN EN 166:2002, DIN EN 172mAnnex II of the PPE-Directive 89/686/EEC, and are designed to meet ANSI Z87.1. They also comply with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.132 (a), which requires employers to protect their employees from overexposure to the sun's radiation.
